Thursday of the month BEGINNING in January 2017 through December 2017. The winner will be notified by phone and the proceeds benefit the ALZHEIMER’s ASSOCIATION. It’s only a $20.00 and only 1000 tickets will be sold. You must be legally able to purchase a handgun to win (21& older) and all of the paperwork will be handled by BHS Guns in Ohio City. The Lima Astronomical Society Summer Viewing Program happens every Friday night at dusk at Schoonover Observatory. An astronomy program will be presented in the meeting room with our new multimedia system. Viewing with the updated telescope and mount will be weather permitting. JULY 23RD.:In honor of the Cleveland community’s continued fight against cancer, Copperlight Live Events & Production is holding a fundraiser called the Fight Cancer Festival at Rocky River Presbyterian Church (21750 Detroit Ave., Rocky River, OH) on Sunday, July 23, 2017.

The Fight Cancer Festival begins at Rocky River Presbyterian Church’s Fellowship Hall at 11:30am. A picnic lunch will be served and will also include family friendly games, music, raffles, and prizes. The daytime portion of the event will end at 2:00pm.

From 6:00-9:00pm, the event will reconvene in Fellowship Hall for a buffet-style dinner and concert with live music featuring local musicians who have all fought and survived cancer.

‘AMERICA’S NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME’
On Tuesday, August 1, 2017, neighborhoods throughout [DELPHOS] are being
invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the “34th Annual National Night
Out” (NNO) crime and drug prevention event. National Night Out, which is sponsored by the National
Association of Town Watch (NATW) and co-sponsored locally by [CITY OF DELPHOS POLICE & FIRE DEPARTMENTS], will involve over 16,500 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world. In all, over 38.3 million people are expected to participate in ‘America’s Night Out
Against Crime’. NNO 2016 corporate sponsors are Dietz & Watson,ADT, Ring, Associa and King’s Hawaiian.
National Night Out is designed to: (1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and promote fire safety; (2) Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime efforts; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-fire community partnerships; and (4) Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are
organized and fighting back.
From 7 to 10 p.m. on August 1st, residents in neighborhoods throughout [DELPHOS] and across the
nation, are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and
police. The City of [DELPHOS] will be hosting a special event at the Delphos Stadium Park, which will include a cookout, music, games, and door prize drawings, visits from police and firemen, youth activities and anticrime rallies.
National Project Coordinator Matt Peskin said, “This is a night for America to stand together to
promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity. National Night Out showcases the vital importance of
police-community partnerships and citizen involvement in our fight to build a safer nation. On NNO, we
invite neighborhoods nationwide to join us in Giving Crime & Drugs A Going Away Party.”
The City of Delphos Municipal Swimming Pool will be open for residents to enjoy from 8 to 10 PM. There will be food & drink, sand volleyball, face painting for the kids, music, games and door prize drawings.
All activities are free and open to the public.

Garage sale and boutique items also accepted.TV-44 is a 501-c3 non-profit association and the annual auction serves as the station’s largest one day fundraiser. Hundreds converge on the TV-44 studio grounds, 1844 Baty Rd., and enjoy a day under the big tent.
