HANDBAGS AND HANDGUNS RAFFLE: The Lima Rehab and Nursing Center is having an AMAZING RAFFLE for MEN and WOMEN. The drawing is based on the Ohio Lottery’s EVENING Pick3 on the 2nd. and 4th. Thursday of the month BEGINNING in January 2017 through December 2017. The winner will be notified by phone and the proceeds benefit the ALZHEIMER’s ASSOCIATION. It’s only a $20.00 and only 1000 tickets will be sold. You must be legally able to purchase a handgun to win (21& older) and all of the paperwork will be handled by BHS Guns in Ohio City. Also a background check is required. The first drawing in January is January 12th. for a Michael Kors handbag and then on January 26th. it’s a Springfield XDM 9MM Handgun. In February on the 9th. a Dooney & Bourke Handbag will be given away and then on the 23rd. it’s another Springfield XDM 9MM Handgun. March 9th. a Coach Handbag and on the 23rd. it’s a Smith & Wesson M&P 9MM handgun. For a complete list of all items and the dates please call the Lima Rehab and Nursing Center.
MARCH 24TH.-25TH.: The Allen East School Musical ” FOOTLOOSE”, will begin on both nights at 7pm. Tickets are only $10.00 each.
MARCH 25TH.: The Lafayette/Jackson Volunteer Fire Dept. at 215 E. Sugar St. in Lafayette is sponsoring a pancake and sausage breakfast from 7am-11am. For $7.00 you can get pancakes, sausage, eggs biscuits and sausage gravy, juice, milk and coffee. PLUS IT IS ALL YOU CAN EAT. Children 6-12 are only $3.00, under 6 you EAT FREE. The proceeds will go to their operating expenses.
MARCH 28TH.: The Allen County Health Dept. will be conducting a special STD Testing event from 8am-3:30 pm at 219 E. Market Street. Appointments are preferred but walk-ins are welcome. Call 419-228-4457 for more info or to schedule your appointment.
MARCH 30TH.: The LCC Education Foundation will host a dinner, ” Spend an evening with Admiral Thomas Lynch” beginning at 6pm in the MSGR. E.C. Herr Gym. Tickets are $50.00 per person and are available at the LCC Business Office during school days from 8am-3pm or by calling 419-234-6730. Proceeds from the dinner benefit the LCC Educational Foundation.
APRIL 3rd.: A Benefit Basketball Game will be held to help the MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION. The LIMA FIRE DEPARTMENT will take on the LIMA POLICE DEPARTMENT in some very exciting basketball. This all happens at the Lima Senior High School Gym with the doors opening at 6:30 with tip-off at 7:00pm. Donations will be taken at the door and ALL OF THE PROCEEDS will be going to the MAKE-A-WISH-FOUNDATION.
APRIL 7TH.: The Lincolnview Elementary Carnival and Raffle will be held from 4pm-7pm in the elementary building. You will find the Famous Venedocia Lions Club sausage here also there is plenty of fun and games. Come early to sign up to win prizes. This is open to EVERYONE.
APRIL 8TH.: The Spencerville Invincible Fire Co. will be holding their annual Pancake and sausage day with all of the pancakes you can eat. Adult tickets are $6.00 each, children 4-12 years of age are $4.00 each and children 3 and under eat free. Sausage gravy and biscuits are $6.00. This all happens from 7am-NOON. A bake sale will be going on by the 4H Club Kossuth Cleaners.
APRIL 8TH.:The Lima Firefighters will be holding a benefit concert to help Lima charities at the UNOH Event Center with the doors opening at 6:30 until Midnight. This event will feature LIVE music by Rick Robinson, Samax, Brother Believe Me and the Indoorfins. It’s only $10.00 at the door. Call Andy Hefner at 419-303-8195 for more info.
APRIL 15TH.: The Delphos Optimist Club is having a Easter Egg Hunt on April 15th at the statium park in Delphos at 1pm for Ages 2 to 9.
