Students who will be 5 years old by August 1, 2020 will be eligible to attend Begindergarten or Kindergarten. Please stop by the Franklin office to pick up your registration materials and schedule your child’s screening appt. ALL STUDENTS MUST BE SCREENED BEFORE BEGINNING BEGINDERGARTEN OR KINDERGARTEN. APRIL 4TH.: Skate with a cop will be held on Saturday April 4th from 9:30a-11:30a. Children 12 and under with their accompanying parents skate free, there will be prizes. Workshop Sponsored by the Logan County Master Gardener Volunteers Learn everything you ever wanted to know about tomatoes: the history of the tomato, different types of tomatoes, how to grow tomatoes in the garden and in containers, and how to identify and handle the diseases and insects of tomatoes. Taste foods made with tomatoes offered by the Logan County Master Gardener Volunteers. Popular and unusual recipes for tomatoes will be provided to each participant. Plant your very own tomato and learn how to save seeds from year to year. APRIL 24TH.: April is sexually assault awareness month and join us for the BIG BAD CAR BASH from 7-midnight, hosted by Crime Victim Services and Omnisource. The event will be held at 804 W. North Street in Lima. A $5.00 donation allows you 3 swings at the car. This event includes a car bash, drag show, trivia, speciality drink and more BUT you must be 21 years old. MAY 16th.: BIKER STRONG LET’S DO IT FOR DAWSON…This all happens at The Freedom Grove Memorial Park in Urbana, Ohio and ends in The Mary Rutan Park in Bellefontaine, Ohio with a start time of 10am and the event ending around 8pm.Registration runs from 10am-Noon. The cost is $10.00 per rider $15.00 with a passenger and this includes the meal. The first 15 to register will receive a free gift. Dawson was diagnosed with Optic Glioma in September 2018. JUNE 27TH.:Art On The Beach The Logan County Art League invites the community to attend its annual two day fine arts festival. The 13th annual art festival, Art On The Beach, will be held on June 27th from 10 am to 5 pm & June 28th from 11 am to 4 pm at Old Field Beach, Indian Lake State Park, Route 366, Lakeview, Ohio. The show will be an opportunity for the community to see local artists who will show and sell their work in a lake-front setting. The location can be reached by both car and boat via Indian Lake.
