Volunteer Opportunities at Challenged Champions Equestrian Center, Ottawa Ohio. Volunteers are an integral part of our program, assisting riders with activities, exercises, balance and communication. MAY 29TH.-AUGUST 17TH.: St. Paul United Church of Christ in Wapakoneta is hosting the Summer Lunch Program beginning May 29, 2018 through August 17th. Lunch will be served from 11:30 am -12:30 pm. We will be serving Monday–Friday and will distribute Take Home Bags for the weekend on Fridays. All ages are welcome including adults. There is no charge. MAY 8TH. and JUNE 12TH.: Wapakoneta Sister City will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary with a trip to their sister city of Lengerich Germany in 2019. There are planning meetings scheduled for May 8 and June 12 at City Hall in Wapakoneta at 7:30pm for those that are interested in going with the group.
JUNE 13TH.:Faith Christian Church, 2223 Shawnee Rd., Lima is hosting a “Walk & Talk” with Thora Davis on our backyard trail beginning at 6:30 pm. Come join us as we discover what kinds of nature exists on the trail. Open & free to the public.
JUNE 13TH.: Come join us at the Delphos Public Library for an intriguing and informative session with Master Storyteller Jim Kleefeld who will speak on the rise and fall of spiritualism; the myths, the hoaxes, the people, and the procedures. See hands-on displays of a Speaking Trumpet, Miracle Frame, and other antique artifact used by fake spiritualists to deceive and swindle innocent believers who paid dearly that they might hear words of encouragement from their departed loved ones. Program begins at 6:30 pm in the First Edition Building. Free and open to the public.

JUNE 21st: Lima seventh-grader Lauren Cunningham was diagnosed with Leukemia when she was nine. Since then, she’s finished her treatments and has had more than 80 blood transfusions. Lauren’s goal is to get 100 people like you to give blood. Come to the next Red Cross Blood Drive, Thursday, June 21st noon to 6 at the Lima Chapter House. JUNE 25-28TH.:First United Methodist Church Invites Children to Elements of TRUST Vacation Bible School; A Science-Inspired, Christ Focus week of faith filled fun.
Van Wert, Ohio A summer kids’ event called Elements of Trust VBS will be hosted at First United Methodist Church, 113 W Central Avenue from Monday, June 25 to Thursday, June 28 with special activities and a singing performance on Sunday, July 1st. At Elements of Trust, kids discover that they can TRUST God and count on His promises! Kids participate in memorable Bible connected science activities, sing catchy songs, devour yummy treats, and experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures that remind them of God’s promises. The Elements of Trust VBS week promises to be a fun, slime-filled experience that everyone will enjoy. Each day begins and concludes with the skits, singing and worship that will energize and connect kids with God. The at-home Spiritual Lab Book of devotions will get everyone involved in living what they have learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special worship time from 11:45-12:00 each day.
First United Methodist Elements of Trust is for kids from 3 years old to entering 5th Grade and will run from 9am to 12pm each day. Preschool students will be released to their parents in Krout at 11:45 and can join worship in the sanctuary with parents if they wish. JULY 9-12: Delphos St. John the Evangelist is hosting Shipwrecked VBS July 9-11, 6-8:30 pm at church, with a pool party on Thursday, July 12 at 6-8 pm at the Delphos Pool. At Shipwrecked VBS, kids discover how Jesus rescues us through life’s storms. The week is filled with Bible-learning experiences, island games, tropical treats and cool songs.
